Our mission is to monitor and anticipate consumer trends, offering a dynamic range that is perfectly tailored to the market we operate in. At DHC, we manage the commercial, promotional, and logistical functions that support the products we represent, ensuring that each item is treated with the care its specificity requires.
We work with a superior-quality assortment, mostly composed of refrigerated products, clearly differentiated from mass-market goods. Therefore, we pay special attention to product turnover, expiration dates, preservation, handling, and communication, ensuring that every detail aligns with the highest quality standards.
Additionally, DHC performs various functions related to distribution, always in close collaboration with our business partners. These functions include procurement, assortment selection, quality control, stock management, logistics, negotiation, placement, marketing, communication, promotion, in-store support, and product enhancement.
And because we believe in constant renewal and innovation, we are always introducing new products that you will soon find in a store near you, such as refrigerated crepes and American pancakes, fresh pasta, gluten-free and organic blinis, lactose-free cheeses, organic pasta, or fresh Italian pasta made with Kamut wheat and spelt, among many others.

Our Story

DHC Food Experience was founded in 1997, inspired by the vision and passion of Ana Paula Teixeira to transform the way we relate to food. From day one, DHC was not just about launching food products — it aimed to offer unique moments that could turn every meal into a celebration of flavor and freshness. It was more than a business; it was a dream taking shape, a deep desire to bring authenticity and innovation to tables in Portugal.

1997

The Beginning of DHC

It all started with the launch of two brands, one of which still accompanies us today, Cuits. This is how we began a story driven by a passion for food.

2013

PASTA DO DIA

We launched our own brand, Pasta do Dia, a testament to our dedication to creativity and innovation in the food industry.

2020

Sabor do Ano Awards

We won our first Selo Sabor do Ano, a recognition of the quality of our products. The winners were: Pasta do Dia (with all puff pastry references, lasagna sheets, gluten-free puff pastry, and gluten-free shortcrust pastry), SoloItalia (with mozzarella), and Martiko (with Norwegian salmon).

2024

A Year of Forward Thinking!

A year of new achievements and future vision! We renewed the Selo Sabor do Ano for our Pasta do Dia products – Puff Pastries, Tender Dough, and Lasagna Sheets, reaffirming our commitment to excellence. Additionally, we embraced innovation by investing in Business Intelligence, allowing us to anticipate trends, better understand our consumers, and continue transforming food into memorable experiences.

2005

Sintra Facilities

We moved to new facilities in Sintra and acquired the SAP BO management system, ready to grow and innovate.

2016

Growth of Our Portfolio

We expanded our portfolio by representing 15 excellent brands, consolidating our position in the market.

2021-2023

Renewal of our Commitment

Year after year, we have received the Selo Sabor do Ano for Pasta do Dia’s – Puff Pastry, strengthening consumer trust in our excellence.

2025

A Year of Great Achievements!

We received the Selo Sabor do Ano for several Pasta do Dia’s products such as Puff Pastry, Shortcrust Pastry, and Lasagna Sheets, and, for the first time, for Tropicana Orange Juice. Additionally, we celebrated the rebranding of the Pasta do Dia brand, reflecting our evolution and reinforcing our commitment to innovation and quality.

Who we are

The story of DHC is also the story of two sisters who turned a shared dream into a successful reality. Ana Paula Teixeira, founder and CEO, began this journey in 1997, and four years later, in 2001, her sister, Carla Teixeira Martins, joined her to consolidate and expand the project. United by bonds of blood, friendship, and complicity, Ana Paula and Carla are more than just business partners – they are true allies, complementing each other and sharing the same passion for culinary excellence.

Leading with strategic vision is about turning challenges into opportunities and dreams into achievements.

Ana Paula Teixeira attended the prestigious St. Julian’s School and holds a degree in International Relations, having furthered her education with courses in Marketing, Management, and Distribution. With over 25 years of experience, she has led DHC with strategic vision, taking on executive responsibilities in the Commercial, Financial, Human Resources, Marketing, and Communication areas.

Carla Teixeira Martins, also a graduate of St. Julian’s School, holds a degree in Marketing, bringing to DHC her precision, dedication, and expertise. As the head of the Commercial, Quality, Administrative, and Operational departments, Carla ensures that the company’s tradition and values are reflected in the daily work.

More recently, Mariana Teixeira, the daughter of founder Ana Paula, joined DHC, bringing a fresh perspective and a valuable contribution. Like her mother and aunt, Mariana attended St. Julian’s School and continued her studies at the London School of Economics (LSE). With a solid career in Investment Banking and M&A at prestigious institutions in London, Mariana has modernized and enriched the company’s experience, knowledge, and structure. Her innovative vision and international know-how complement the dedication and family tradition, driving DHC to new heights.
Working as a family is undoubtedly a challenge, but above all, it is a privilege.
The partnership between Ana Paula, Carla, and now Mariana reflects the essence of DHC: passion, unity, and commitment in every step of this journey.
